RABENOLD RACING FOR 2009

Kory Rabenold partners with Andy Belmont Racing for the remainder of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX Series Schedule

For Immediate Release - Kory Rabenold Racing PR - 7/6/2009

Kory Rabenold and the KRR team are excited to announce that Andy Belmont Racing has a new driver in their stable, 20 year old, Kory Rabenold, of Slatington, Pa. Kory has been picked up by the Belmont's to pilot their #14 Ford Fusion for the remainder of the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX series schedule. Kory will start his new job, this weekend at Iowa Speedway, for the Prairie Meadows 200. Kory talks about his opportunity to get back into a full-bodied stock car, "it feels great to be back in the ACRA Series, especially under the guidance of Andy and Jennifer Belmont. They have been part of the ARCA Series for quite some time. Their equipment is proven and they know how to get a car prepared that can go to the front." To the front is where Kory hopes to be able to run. The young driver is eager to get back on the track and show his new owners what he is capable of.

KRR made a valiant effort in trying to run the ARCA Schedule on their own in 2007 and 2008, but as funds dried up and sponsorship became scarce, KRR was forced to watch from the sidelines. With Pocono Speedway being in KRR's backyard, the 09 June event was a tough one not to be able to participate in.

So, instead of ARCA racing, Kory has been behind the wheel of a Tour Type Asphalt Modified. Kory has been competing at Mahoning Valley Speedway for Terry Zacharias Motorsports. Currently, Kory sits second in the points standings at MVS and has already recorded a feature win and 5 top 5's, this season. "It felt great to be able to get back into a modified after two years of working at our ARCA program. I am glad I was able to have the chance and opportunity to get the Zacharias Motorsports Modified back into the winners circle, says Rabenold." KRR's philosophy in 09 was some racing was better than no racing and it looks like that may have paid off.

Terry Zacharias stated that he is pleased for his driver and wishes him success in the ARCA Series. "It is rare that in this day and age of motorsports that a driver is offered a ride based purely on his talents, says Zacharias." In addition, Kory doesn't want to forget about who kept him racing this summer. Ken "Buzzy" Rabenold and Terry Zacharias. So, on the off weekends of the ARCA schedule, Kory plans on racing the Modified at MVS, Shangri-la II, Oswego, or wherever the next big modified race may be. Kory talks more about his time in the Modified and the future for him in ARCA RE/MAX Series and in Modified racing, "I am glad that Terry and I were able to compromise on our modified schedule running part time when I will not be racing with the ARCA RE/MAX Series is something that I will appreciate."
