Rain Halts Mahoning Valley Speedway Action at Midway Point

Mahoning Valley Speedway fell victim to rain but not after a valiant effort none-the-less to try and get the show in. A mid-afternoon downpour pushed the start time back a half-hour as track crews did a yeoman's job in ridding an overflow of water on the race surface.
Heat races were then run for all regular track classes plus the season premiere of the micro stocks. Kory started 6th in his heat and finished 4th.
As intermission was concluding with the track's annual Fan Appreciation Night in which all drivers and cars assembled along the front straight for a meet and greet, the rain returned and never stopped, thus making it an early night.
All features will now be made up in the upcoming weeks. July 18 it will be the Modifieds doing double duty with their make-up. All make-up features will begin the night of racing on their respective make-up dates. Regular qualifying will then take place.
