"Keep an eye on Kory Rabenold in the ARCA 200," a friend told me this morning.
"Kory who?" was my response. There are already plenty of well-known drivers to watch in Saturday's race.... Click To Read The Complete Article on RaceingOne.com

February 7, 2008 The #63 team finally went into tech at 10:15 this morning. The car passed and the crew is busy working on setting up the car for practice which is to begin at noon. At the driver and spotter meeting, the driver's drew for qualifying. Kory picked 12. Qualifying will take place on Friday at noon.

News Flash
Kory has an over the phone interview with Bobby Guenther Walsh (WAEB 790am) on Friday morning at 7:45.

Practice on Thursday did not go very well for us. We are having motor issues, lacking horsepower. The car is slower than it was when the guys were down in December. The team made some changes but till they got things done, practice was over. Kory said the car handled great, he just can't keep up with the other cars. He's extremely dissappointed and the crew along with the motor builder are stumped. They will try to make some other changes this morning but they will only have 1 hour to do so and there is no practice for today. So whatever they do this morning, we have to pray it will better the car as Kory goes out 12th to qualify.

February 6, 2008 Tech Inspection is underway at Daytona...the 63 team of Rabenold Racing, made it through the first day w/out any major problems. The fuel cell went through inspection and passed with flying colors, today and tomorrow the rest of the car will be gone over with a fine toothed comb by ARCA officials. Tomorrow afternoon will be the first on-track activity and then Friday is qualifying and happy hour.

As the grueling process of tech inspection goes on, the Rabenold Race Team continues to go with the flow...the fine tuned engine from Ritter Performance Machining, transmission, rear end, cooling system, carburetor and restrictor plate all passed inspection.

The next stage is the Template Tech inspection, this step is to make sure that the body passes all ARCA rules. With Buzzy of Buzzy's Autobody doing the body work, we are sure that the car will go through the inspection line w/out any issues.

As the time nears for the close of inspections for the day and about 20 cars still ahead of them to be inspected, the 63 team realizes they are going to have to wait till Thursday to get through the inspection line. The garage will open Thursday morning at 7:00 and hopefully the #63 car will get through inspection quickly as practice is schedule to begin at noon and end at 5:00.
