Kory started racing 1/4 midgets at age 5 and competed for 8 years at tracks located in Pennsylvania. In 2002, he started racing in the 4-cylinder division at Mahoning Valley Speedway and received "Rookie of the Year" honors.
Kory was named "Most Improved Driver" at Mahoning Valley Speedway in the 4-cylinder division in 2003.
In 2004, Kory was crowned "4 Cylinder Points Champion" at Mahoning Valley Speedway.
The 2005 racing season saw Kory enter the Modified division at Mahoning Valley Speedway. He finished the year 9th in the points standings after winning a 100 lap, $3000 to win modified feature.
In 2006, Kory started competing in the ROC Asphalt Modified Tour where he became the youngest driver to win a ROC feature event. He was named ROC "Rookie of the Year" and also received the "2006 Rookie of the Year Stock Class" by the Checkered Flag Fan Club.
2007 saw Kory leave the modified divisions and he started competing in the ARCA/Remax Series. Due to limited sponsorship, Kory competed in four ARCA/Remax races, one at Toledo Speedway where he finished 16th, two at Pocono Raceway where he finished 12th and 16th, and one at the Milwaukee Mile where he finished 27th.
Kory will be starting the 2008 ARCA season with hopes of qualifying for the ARCA 200 at Daytona International Speedway on February 9, 2008. |
